As a marathon runner and travel aficionado from Sydney now residing in New York, I've experienced a variety of accommodations, but the Villa was a pleasant find. Nestled in a stunning location, it serves as a great base for hiking adventures in La Gomera. The property itself has a charming, rambling vibe and felt remarkably private. Our room, located on a quaint upper floor accessible by quirky stairs, included a spacious balcony that overlooked the scenic hills and coast. The room was basic but clean and functional, with a comfortable bed and a decent shower. What really stood out was the communal kitchen, equipped with essential cookware and an electric kettle, allowing us to prepare our breakfasts and lunches. This arrangement not only helped us save on dining costs but also fit around our active schedule. With friendly staff available in the mornings to assist with tours and local tips, the overall experience felt quite personal. For those considering where to stay, the Villa strikes a balance between luxury and value, particularly for those wanting independence and flexibility on their travels.
